Ben Mac An Tuile
Настоящее имя: Ben Mac An Tuile
Об исполнителе:
Originally from Ballyfermot, Dublin, Ireland, Ben moved to Australia in 1984, where he founded one of the top bands in Australia, The Celts. Eventually he was in a band known as Irish Heartbeat, who eventually became The Hooligans. Ben moved to America in 1999 to give his sister, owner of Fiddler's Green, Annie Murphy away at her wedding to Steve Trout (2), one of the founding members of Wild Geese (6). While at the wedding he met his future wife, [a10026484] and Peg Dolan, who would eventually join Wild Geese (6). Ben lived upstairs at Fiddler's Green for a while and would occasionally ask Peg, who often played there, if he could play in the background. Peg was happy to have him join in, and soon Maeve joined in, forming a trio that called themselves "One Road". Wild Geese eventually asked Ben to join, making them a foursome instead of a trio. Ben played 4 string banjo, harmonica, mandolin, Irish fiddle, whistle, and guitar, allowing the band to add a new scope and add more complex harmonies and entertaining stage banter to their shows.
