Joseph Kaiser (2)

Joseph Kaiser (Montreal, 1977 -) is a Canadian tenor and stage actor. In 2005, Kaiser won second prize in Plácido Domingo's Operalia Competition while competing as a baritone. The judges were keen to his talents and potential as a tenor, and proposed that he make the switch to tenor. As such, he has performed as a soloist with the New York Metropolitan Opera, making his debut there in October 2007. Kaiser was also recognized with the Robert Jacobson Memorial Grant by the George London Foundation, and first prizes at the Elardo Opera Competition and the Orlando Opera Heinz Rehfuss Singing Actor Award.
