Gaubahadur Gurung

Born in Sikles, West Nepal, enlisted into the Brigade of Gurkhas Nov 1975 aged 18. He joined the Band of The Brigade of Gurkhas (2nd King Edward VII's Own Goorkhas) in 1976 in the UK. He graduated after a three year Student Bandmaster Course at Kneller Hall. He was commissioned to Lieutenant (QGO) and became the Assistant Director of Music in 1993 and subsequently promoted to Captain in 1996.
