8grams

8grams is a hardcore crossover/rapcore band from Atlanta, GA. They formed in late '98 - early '99 and are the product of a number of local bands, including Fever-Red (drummer Mike Wilson) and Exit 45 (guitarist Tommy Goodman). To describe their sound, 8grams is the culmination of an agressive and angry, yet intensely emotional style of singing, moving from rap to singing to screaming to whispering, with explosively heavy guitar riffs and a hardcore hip-hop style of drums and bass, creating a unique blend of hardcore styles. Their first CD single entitled "slipt" is currently available for order and a full-length album is planned for sometime next year. Look for them around the Atlanta area in '99 and 2000.
