Nicaraguan composer producer in the 1920s-1970's Polidecto Correa is an artist name chosen by Guillermo directly from one of his favorite uncles who later passed in 1955, chosen because Polidecto signifies the number 9 Guillemo mastered playing 9 Instruments his wife was born on a 9th and he got married on a 9th the number 9 surrounded his life. Since Polidecto had served in WW2 he was a very cryptic man and understood his rights as musicians were being infringed upon by communist leadership. Polidecto preserved original recordings his whole life to be published in 2022. Colonel Guillermo Corea Almendarez became an extremely skilled classical jazz musician. Founding orchestras still remembered today ( La orchestra Tipica, Orchestra Symopnica, La Banda De Lo Supremo Poderes and more) he was also the symphony director of Nicaragua's National Military Band. Guillermo Corea is awarded Vuestra Senoria for his score revision adding new instruments in 1967 to the Nicaraguan Nacional Anthem. Guillermo was also a musical instructor giving lessons to many talented students including "Chepito" Areas who worked directly with Carlos Santana. Polidecto trained his children in classical jazz symphonic orchestral music. They frequently searched for new talent through out all of Nicaragua. They participate in many recordings of this era all Corea's where highly sought after for by many 70's acid rock bands in Nicaragua for both their musical skills and because Polidecto would budget promotional cost for songs records specially when one of his own children was on the release this included groups like "La Calle" "Los Barbaros" Hermanos Cortez" "Los Falcons" "Poder de Alma" "Los Clarks" "Bwana" "D.R. Hooker" "Los Grecos" "Los Music Masters" "The Bad Boys" "Los Rolling's" "The Hellions" and others. Guillermo (Polidecto) would press limited private press vinyl's and distribute them to radio stations world wide he also held weekly free concerts at the central park in Managua for several years 68-74 letting Nicaraguan artist and bands gain a audience. Guillermo Corea Almendares passed in November 1976.
