Almut Panfilenko (Soprano) Born: Germany The German soprano, Almut Panfilenko (Almut Hellwig), studied at the Hochschule für Musik Saar with Rosemarie Bühler-Fey and Irwin Gage. This was followed by a private study in Vienna with Theodore Coresi. She participated in master-classes with, inter alia, Irina Gavrilovici, Nele Gramß (early music), Klesie Kelly-Moog, Peter Kooy (early music), Elena Marinescu, Kurt Widmer and Yaron Windmüller. She was awarded various prizes: in 1999 she won the German national competition "Jugend musiziert " in the special category "Contemporary Music" 3rd prize; in 2007, she received a scholarship from the Richard-Wagner-Verbandes; in 2013, she won again the "PodiumJungerGesangsSolisten" of VDKC (Verband Deutscher KonzertChöre = Association of German Concert Choirs) the 3rd prize. Its focus of Almut Panfilenko is on the concert area, particularly in contemporary music. She won much attention the first performances of Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf's solo work Angela Nova 2 and Gesängen von der peripherie by Wolfram Schurig. She was a singer of the ensemble Les élats du son (contemporary music) and a founding member of the Vokalconsort Parlando (early music).
