Toninho Maia

Guitarist, guitarist and composer, he has been in the musical activity since 1978. He joined musical groups and produced several artists in Brasília. Toninho passed away on February 06, 2021 of COVID19, at ate 59. Toninho Maya was from Pará, born in Abaetetuba and dedicated 43 years of his life to music, and shared his activities as a cultural producer with a job as a banker at Banco do Brasil. Around here, he lived in Colina, at the University of Brasília (UnB), where, at the age of 13, he met other exponents of local rock, who would later integrate Plebe e Rude and Capital Inicial. Renato Russo declared himself as one of the fans of Toninho's work.
