Quickly emerging from the darker realm of Boston's music scene, STOIC is a four-piece band with a strong passion for creating and performing powerful high-energy music. With Nathan Olean performing lead vocals, and auxiliary sounds, Jeff Kuznezov on Bass guitar, and backing vocals, Nick Scarpaci on guitar, and Brendan Campbell playing drums, STOIC brings new inspiration to the ever-growing genre of "heavy music". Each member possesses an extremely diverse musical background bringing a unique style to the band. This collaboration is sure to break down the walls of conformity, and open new doors in the world of "Rock". Stoic was conceived in the fall of 2000 when vocalist Nathan Olean came together with drummer Brendan Campbell and bassist Jeff Kuznezov. This combination formed the origin from which STOIC would evolve. After a couple of guitar changes STOIC began to take shape in early 2003 with the addition of guitar player Nick Scarpaci (ex-Madwack). Now complete STOIC has embarked on a mission to rise to the top establishing Boston as their home. In the summer of 2003 STOIC recorded their first Ep "Eye Conceive" at New Alliance Studios, in Boston, MA., with engineer Ethan Dessault. After the record was complete, New Alliance owner and Curve of the Earth Executive Alvan Long approached Ken Cmar owner of Wonderdrug Records with the recording in hopes of collaborating on a new record label. The result birthed the label Dayjob Manufacturing, a joint venture to create a record label that provides more than a typical label, and focuses more on actual artist development. With Dayjob Manufacturing on their side, STOIC is truly an unstoppable force. Receiving multiple airplay on WAAF, WFNX, and WBCN as well as college radio stations such as WMFO, STOIC is quickly gaining the respect of many new fans in the New England area and playing to sold out crowds. The band is currently back in the studio writing and recording new material for their first full-length album due out later this year. Capturing the attention highly supportive fans with their combination of in your face vocal styling, thick progressive guitars, and mind wrecking rhythms, STOIC is sure to leave a lasting impression on the face of "heavy music".
