Shelly Siegel (2)

Canadian publicist and manager. Started out with Columbia Records of Canada, Ltd. in early 1970s in its promotion department. He moved west to Vancouver to work with the Kelly's retail chain then returned to Toronto briefly to work in radio. He soon returned to Vancouver, working with Bruce Allen Management, which led to involvement with CanBase Productions Limited in 1973. Siegel assisted in shaping their new label Mushroom Records (5) and would eventually become Vice President and General Manager of the label. Siegel died in Los Angeles on January 17, 1978 at age 32.
