The band Lorem Ipsum is an indie/new wave band from Volendam consisting of vocalist Michelle Tuijp, guitarist Peter Steur, bassist Tim de Boer and drummer William Mooijer. The band was formed in June 2019 and immediately started writing their own music. Lorem Ipsum is mainly inspired by punk and new wave from the 70's and 80's such as The Smiths, Joy Division, Wire and The Clash. But also garage, rock and britpop from the 90s and today. Think of bands like The Strokes, The Growlers, Fontaines D.C., Ty Segall, Blur and PJ Harvey.
