Bemti

Brazilian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. b.: January 28, 1990 - Serra da Saudades, MG. Born in a farm by the countryside of Minas Gerais, Bemti plays the viola caipira (brazilian 10-string guitar) as the main instrument for a sound he calls a mix of queer-folk, synthpop and MPB. Bemti was selected to record his second album with the support of Natura Musical, one of the most prestigious music programs in Brazil. Bemti released his first solo album in 2018: [m2652278] was picked for many Best of the Year lists such as the one from Rolling Stone Brasil and features major brazilian artists Johnny Hooker and Tuyo (3). Touring the album, Bemti played in 9 brazilian states and 3 countries, including important festivals. The album [m2651420] was released in 2021 featuring artists Fernanda Takai, Jaloo, Josyara, Àvuà and the portuguese artist Murais (Hélio Morais). It featured in many best of the year lists like the one from APCA (Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte).
