Morris On

Morris On is not a real band, but rather a project led by Ashley Hutchings to revisit English Morris dance tunes and songs, played with a combination of traditional and modern instruments. Following the success of the first release, the concept was expanded in a series of other albums - and also in concert - with contributions from many various artists. The "Morris On" series includes the following albums : Morris On (1972), Son Of Morris On (1976), 4022072 (2002), 4022122 (2004), 7734748 (2005) None of these albums are credited to a seemingly "Morris On" band (who doesn't really exist as an entity), but several compilations have used this moniker to simplify the credit (or by ignorance).
