From the Portsmouth music scene: Dave Allen (vocals, harmonica), Steve Farrow (lead guitar), John Lytle (guitar, organ, vocals), Brian Grice (electric piano), Mick Legg (bass guitar), Dave Pittard (drums). The group was formed by members of two bands, Tangerine Slyde and Harlem Speakeasy (one single in 1968). They moved to London where became immersed in the flourishing freak-scene. They played some free concerts, also for the Hell's Angels. In late 1969 the producer Phil Pickett brokered a publishing contract with Chappells. Then they recorded two demo tracks at Orange Studios. It was planned to release a single in April 1970 but it never came out. Rosemary disbanded in the summer of 1970.
