Heidi Bradburn

Australian jazz vocalist, singer-songwriter, composer and percussionist located in Melbourne, Victoria. Born and raised in Sydney, Heidi began her career as a singer-songwriter with indie-pop group, Spoon, during the early nineties. After 1995, she based herself primarily in Scotland where she explored her Celtic heritage and sang with folk group Melaleuca and toured in Ireland with Scottish singer-songwriter, Andi Neate. Upon returning to Australia, Heidi performed at local festivals with traditional Irish group, St Kevin's Kitchen and ran a popular Irish music session in Melbourne. In January 2002, Heidi tutored master classes in Celtic Singing at the Music Under the Mountains Celtic Summer School in Tasmania. In 2003, she performed with Celtic Reign, a showcase of Irish dance and song, which toured nationally in Australia. Heidi recorded and performed her original music with Melbourne-based folk pop group, Gladstone Road. She also performed with the 1930s gypsy jazz ensemble Blazz (who launched a CD in July 2001).
