Halifax's Sheva Solomon writes driving, hooky pop tunes with fierce and introspective lyrics, set in a piano-based bed of melody and sweet harmonies, evoking the spirit of Sheryl Crow and Sarah McLachlan. The title track is a minor-key rocker that decries independence, and serves as an uplifting feminist anthem.
