Michael Armann

Pianist, arranger, composer and choir director After his studies in the 1980s at the Richard Strauss Conservatory and at the Munich Academy of Music (major in piano), Michael Armann had many engagements. He has worked with Ron Williams, Konstantin Wecker, Dagmar Aigner, Rabih Abou-Khalil and Heike Schoch, among others. He is considered one of the leading and most sought-after pianists in gospel music. In addition to his work with various gospel choirs, he has composed numerous film scores, several operas and musicals as well as various radio plays. His musical stylistic confidence is also evident in his work with various improvisation theatres, such as the musical director and pianist of the improv opera LaTriviata (founded in 2002).
