Carlo D'Angiò (born 1946, Naples, Italy - died 5 September 2016, Naples, Italy) was an Italian musician and composer. He began his career playing with other musicians in the middle of the 1960's. He was the co-founder, along with Eugenio Bennato and Giovanni Mauriello of Nuova Compagnia Di Canto Popolare, which was a famous folk group from Naples. Their aim was to revive the musical roots of authentic Neapolitan folk tradition. He left the group in 1976 and co-founded, again with Eugenio Bennato, the ensemble Musicanova. This group consisted of various musicians, including: percussionist Tony Esposito and Alfio Antico, vocalist [a664145], saxophonist Bob Fix, violinist David Blazer and Pippo Cerciello, bass player [a828195], and brass musician Enzo Avitabile. In 2011, he released an album titled "Viva il Sud!".
