Jolanta Schenk

Violinist, with West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Born in Poland, received a master’s degree in Arts from the State Academy of Music in Warsaw. Member of National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warsaw from 1977-81. Following a one-month tour of Australia in 1981, came to Perth to play with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra on a one–year contract, then joined the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as a full-time musician. In 1984, moved to Switzerland and became a permanent member of the Berne Symphony Orchestra. Returned to Australia in 1996 and joined WASO.
