Marquet began his jazz career in the mid-1960s, performing with Irakli de Davrichewys New Orleans Ambassadors and collaborating with other jazz musicians, including Jacques Gauthé. In the 1980s, he joined Gilbert Leroux's Washboard Group and demonstrated his versatility as a musician by playing different wind instruments. Marquet is notably featured on the album "Clarinet Joys" with The Two Clarinet Stompers, released in 1993, showcasing his dedication to traditional jazz. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous recording sessions and remains respected for his technical skills and contributions to traditional jazz.
