Rutger Van Parys

Rutger Van Parys (°1988) is an illustrator and graphic designer Based in Tielt, Belgium. His work consists mainly of editorial, commercial and children's book illustrations in a variety of styles (traditional and digital). His editorial illustrations can be found in - among others - Visie, Femma magazine and Basis. He is the in-house illustrator for Gevaert Graphics and The Bassets Craft Distillery. He graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Crossmedia Design, yet his passion for Film and Art goes back even further, starting with him creating watercolor paintings of scenes from 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring'. Rutger's favorite pastime is sketching and painting in his home studio while listening to his soundtrack collection on vinyl. When he's not drawing you can find him playing with his daughter while spinning the family favorite: 'the Land before Time' (James Horner).
