Psychopath (13)

A metal/punk band that was formed by a few 7th graders in the suburbs of Minneapolis. Several line-up changes occurred over the years, as one would expect from a band this young. By 1989, the band had become enamored with punk-funk via the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Fishbone, and changed their name to "Atomic Vibe." That lasted a year with the members eventually completing high school (without further incident). The track "Shopping Mall Holocaust" was initially recorded in 1987, with vocal tracks re-recorded and remixed in 1988. This was eventually, and surprisingly, released on a compilation ten years later (a surprise to the band, though the owner of the label, [a528690], along with members from the Minneapolis band Morticia (2), were guest background vocalists on the recording).
