Sonic Voodoo

Heavy metal band from Houston, Texas. Formed in August 1991, by drummer Jungle Bob Wedward, guitarist Double Barrel Darrell, and bassist "Super Dave" David Lloyd. In October 1991, the band switched to a five-person lineup with Jim Stockdale on bass and Sean Johnson on vocals while Dave moved to guitar. After Jim and Sean left, the band hired Jon Jordan to handle vocals and Dave switched back to bass. Jordan left after several months and the band added Mat Cassidy as vocalist and Eric Brown aka Grotus on bass with Dave on guitar. Clay Estrada briefly joined as a rhythm guitarist. By 1993, the band settled on a lineup of Jungle Bob (drums), Double Barrel Darrell (guitar), Grotus (bass) and Mat (vocals). This lineup split in early 1994 and the group reformed later that year with Jungle Bob on drums, Darrell on guitar and vocals and Brett Herring on bass. Eventually the band became a studio project in the late 1990s with Darrell and Bob until a new live version was formed in 2019.
