Born Oct 17 1911 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He died on November 19, 1986 Singer, composer, dancer. In the 30's he worked along pianist Francisco Simó Damirón. While in their native Dominican Republic, both Chapuseaux & Damirón, along with Freddy Coronado joined Billo Frometa (Luís María Frometa) and formed the Santo Domingo Jazz Band. In December of 1937 Chapuseaux & Damirón left Santo Domingo and went to Venezuela founding, along Billo Frometa, the orchestra Billo's Happy Boys. In 1938 Chapuseaux interpreted as a solo artist the song "Taboga" in the film with the same name from company Laboratorios Nacionales. Six months after joining the band, Chapuseaux & Damirón left Billo's band and travelled to Panamá where Chapuseaux met actress & singer Sylvia De Grasse whom he married. In 1945 they formed the group called Los Alegres Tres (Damirón, Chapuseaux, Sylvia De Grasse). Together they travelled throughout latin america performing. They worked mostly from New York and settled down in Puerto Rico where they had a show on TV called "El Show de Las Doce" with "Los Alegres Tres" produced by Paquito Cordero.
