While growing up in her hometown of Philadelphia, Valerie Ford began her musical journey performing in various youth organizations as a young child, honing her vocal skills and nurturing her aspirations for the future. During her early teens, she took the initiative to form an all-female group. In the 70s, Valerie was a member of the vocal trio New Love Ltd. During a captivating tour in Brazil, New Love Ltd and funk band Interstate 95 collaborated with local musicians, culminating in the release of the collaborative album "So Much To Talk About" exclusively in Brazil in 1978. Subsequently, Valerie became part of the disco group Philly Cream (2), signed under Atlantic Records, and contributed to their chart-topping disco track "Love Can't Turn Around." Transitioning to a solo career in the 1980s, she teamed up with seasoned producer Tony Camillo to create the album "Inspiration," which was initially shelved but has since been made available after years of unavailability. Notably, Valerie has also toured alongside Billy Paul in various countries, including Taiwan. She's also known as Nadiyah Ameenah Muhammad.
