"Doc Oliver is an American Singer-Songwriter whose music branches into multiple genres. He is currently based out of Central Coast, California. Doc has released his first record “Welcome Home” which is an autobiographical record about his life pre, during, and post the Operation Enduring Freedom war. The record was engineered by Grammy winner Mark Rains at his studio Station House in Los Angeles, and Mastered by multi Grammy Winner Pete Lyman in Nashville. “The plan wasn’t to release the record until all the COVID restrictions were lifted, but after finding out we were pulling out of Afghanistan in such a short notice, I knew it was going to be bad and the folks involved in that long war might need some music to relate to so I decided to release the record August 31st; the day we were all supposed to be out of there. After being medically retired from the US Navy in 2013 after 2 tours in Afghanistan, Doc wrote songs as a form of therapy to help cope with his experiences in war and the death of many of his friends and family. Now a family man, Doc continues to write his songs about his life experiences, and hopes to heal the wounds of others as he did in war, but only now through his music."
