Michelle Cornog

Clarinetist, married to Scott Byrd A native of southeastern Michigan, Dr. Byrd earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and both her Masters and Doctoral degrees at the University of Nevada, Reno. She returned to the Detroit area in 2001 to complete her pre-doctoral internship at Henry Ford Health Sciences in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, where she gained considerable training and experience working with medically ill populations. In addition to her clinical practice at McCaskill Family Services, Dr. Byrd was a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Eastern Michigan University from 2002-2022 and holds the title of Professor Emertius in her retirement.
