holst has worked under many names, the earliest being Russian brutal death metal band Biotomy, in which he was the vocalist. In 2017 he began making longform ambient tracks and albums, under the names sazanka & yarivuel, yarivuel, and holst most recently. He frequently rebrands his releases, renaming them and changing the artworks. He makes use of field recordings, synth pads, piano and white noise.
