In Winter (2)

Doug Bjornholm and Jason Knotek, originally members of Pirun Kuva for 3 years, briefly joined Cleveland based band Shenoah in 2003. While auditioning musicians for a spot in Shenoah, they met Kara Hill and were taken with her voice. They then began a joint project with Kara, "In Winter". In the band's own words, "The In Winter sound is driven by dark electronic soundscapes and percussion layered with piano, string, and synth arrangements. It is further defined by guitars that range from driving industrial riffs to acoustic harmonies. It is all tied together by a beautiful and haunting voice and very personal and meaningful lyrical content. In Winter is a band set out to make its mark on the world without compromise or apology, focusing on making music for the sake of music rather than squandering talent and creative vision to cash in on being the next big thing." They existed from 2003 until approximately 2006 when they disbanded.
