The A. T. N. T.

Garage band from up in the Plano area of Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, active in the mid/late-sixties. After going through the Dolphins in 1964, and then the Orphans in 1966 and 1967, and as a cover band, they got some attention playing the local clubs, including the Studio Club and band manager Mark Lee (Kenny & The Kasuals). The band made their only single in 1968 with a new name: The A.T.N.T. Both are originals written by John Strawn, Barry Corbett and Danny Goode. Strawn claims that the name stood for ‘Alice talks ‘n’ talks’. The group played on Mark Stevens’ TV show at the time, lip synching to the record.
