Dream pop band from Philadelphia: Chris Golbreski, guitar, drums; Keith Giunta, guitar, bass; Tara Hannigan, vocals. Originally championed by Bongwater's Kramer, the band played a showcase at SXSW in 1996 and was signed by Interscope. After the original and a second, improved mix for a début both were rejected, Tom Lord-Alge was brought in as producer, but the album seems never to have been released and a single appearance, under the shortened name Pur, on the Supercop soundtrack is the band's only commercial release. Not to be confused with the German band Pur.
