Maria Holmström

Swedish singer from Västervik, formerly Andersson. After writing in Swedish, playing on certain stages around Sweden and also training as a jazz singer, Maria had to cancel the summer tour in 2002 due to problems with her vocal cords. After a break, she started writing songs in English. In 2011, Maria released the album "The Birds Nest" under the stage name Feather And Down. Maria has always combined her own writing with singing and playing behind other artists such as Linnea Olsson, Carolina Wallin Pérez, Rebekka Karijord, Tove Styrke, Ane Brun, Veronica Maggio, Electric Banana Band and others. For two years, 2008-2009, Maria sang with the Canadian circus group Cirque du Soleil at the show Zaia in Macau south of Hong Kong. She also has a long-standing collaboration with the Japanese record company IRMA Records and has released records under her own name, worked with Japanese producers and made several recordings for Japanese commercials and for the animated TV series Norn 9.
