Ron Blake is a DJ, musician and music producer in Toronto. Variations: Ronnie Blake, ronnie b. Aliases: ronnie boom, Deeper Society, UpLink, DJ Sport Guy, Fuzz Duppy, Crunchy Nuggets Radio, a_nervous_system. Ron Blake established the cYcloidisc label in 1992 to release experimental electronic music as protoplasm. Initially, the project was created for the mail art network and local independent radio. Changing shape and form, it grew into: 'a_nervous_system' - electronically extended. Phases of an evolving organism... NeuronNoise REquel the protoplasm epoch the protoplasm population protoplasm protoplasm released 2 cassettes, 1 CD and appeared on 1 compilation. All other stages in the development of the project have not had a physical release as yet. Sloth Brain (1996-2015) released 1 4 track cassette. Performed at Nuit Blanche in 2009, 2010 and 2013.
