Bob Dykstra

Barbershop lead vocalist. Born February 26, 1930. Bob began his barbershopping career in 1952 in the Army. He started a quartet called the Hut-Four in 1953 and sang with them until 1971 placing as high as 11th in the SPEBSQSA International quartet contest. He appeared on a few TV shows with the quartet. Bob also sang with the Salty Dogs comedy quartet from 1984 to 2001. Aside from quartet singing, Bob has been an MC for many barbershop shows as well as an unofficial historian for the Minneapolis barbershop chapter.
