Jean-Pierre Blanchard (3)

French musician who moved to Houston, Texas in 1972. He played harmonica and sang in blues bands in Houston and Austin, Texas, including the band Pierre And The Nightcats. He then started playing the accordion and moved into zydeco music, first with the Houston band Pierre & The Zydeco Dots. Blanchard moved to Lafayette, Louisiana, where he started Jean-Pierre And The Zydeco Angels. In 2000, he moved to Austin, Texas and took a break from music for three years before reforming Zydeco Angels in the Austin area.
