Antonio Machado

Born July 26, 1875 (Seville) – Died February 22, 1939 (Collioure, France) Spanish poet and one of the leading figures of the Spanish literary movement known as the Generation of '98. He was brother of poet [a1239088]. He died a few days after crossing the French frontier, escaping together with his mother the advancing Francoist troops at the end of the Spanish Civil War.
