:2902 was a synth-focused electronic band founded by several musicians who were heavily influenced by the emergence of affordable synthesizers from manufacturers such as Moog, Arp, and Sequential Circuits. Formed in 1979 in Gainesville, Florida, :2902 went through many personnel changes but retained its core creative duo of Laury Getford and John Holmes intact throughout.
