Australian low-fi Alt Pop band based in Canberra, ACT. Hailing from Australia’s rock capital, Canberra, Vice Like Grip is this country's premier dad / son, Alt pop outfit. Vice Like Grip is essentially singer and songwriter Andy Heaney. Harry Heaney-Garzoli often plays drums and Cameron Burns has been known to play bass. While adopting a Low-Fi sensibility and a DIY approach to recording, Vice Like Grips sound unashamedly take stuff from 60’s pop, 70’s AM radio, OZ rock, post punk, new wave, NZ South Island, alt country, Indy, and a million other places. Expect to hear lots of la la la backup singing, a fair bit of guitar (sometimes in tune), and even the odd tambourine. Mostly the songs are short and mostly they are about the usual stuff. Andy Heaney sings, plays guitar, and whatever else is needed.
