David Alexander Hubbard, singer and songwriter of Reggae Music, native of Georgetown-Guyana and born in 1962, began his career as a musician when he was 15 years old playing a steel pan in a smooth, melodic way. His musical journey began in Barbados, where he performed as a backing vocalist and solo musician at "CARIFESTA" one of the biggest cultural festivals in the Caribbean. Hubbard played before an audience of 80,000 in Cuba at the Latin American Festival. In 1986, he was one of the main performers at the Pan Festival Mundial in Trinidad and Tobago. In the 1990's he toured South America performing his unique style of Reggae Music in countries like Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil with Steel Band Super Star. Along with some Brazilian musicians, he was featured in several television programs: Jô Soares, Programa Livre, Mulheres among others. Hubbard has toured internationally throughout Europe: traveling through France, Italy and Madagascar. He currently performs at festivals and concerts with other artists present in the reggae cultural scene such as Solano Jacob, Leões de Israel and the band QG Imperial.
