The Night People (9)

Garage band from Olney IL, formed at Olney College IL in the mid sixties. Members inluded Michael Warnelis (lead vocals), Melvin Knoblett, and Dressback. Their only single was recorded in Flora, IL in 1967 at a small Christian music studio with low production values. The Night People played for about 5 years around the Southern Illinois USA area. The war in Vet Nam broke the band up as Melvin Knoblett and Dressback went to the service. Kelly Walker was the Manager of the band for years. Melvin Knoblett still plays mostly alone for the elderly at nursing homes and churches.
