[u]Johnny Maldonado Díaz was born on December 2, 1968[/u], in the vibrant borough of [u]Brooklyn, New York[/u], (now, relocated in Orlando, Florida). Just a few days after his birth, he embarked on a life-altering journey with his family, relocating to the enchanting landscapes of Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. A true musical prodigy, Johnny first picked up the cuatro at the age of 6, swiftly progressing to extracting melodies from a guitar by the age of 11, and by 15, he was already crafting his own soul-stirring compositions. It wasn't long before Johnny recognized his destiny lay in the world of music. He dedicated himself to honing his craft, lending his mellifluous voice to various tropical ensembles, performing in illustrious venues such as hotels, private soirées, and nightclubs and so on. In 1991, johnny was bestowed with the remarkable opportunity to serve as the lead vocalist for renowned orchestras, most notably [u]Rubby Haddock´s[/u]. During this tenure, he contributed his velvety vocals to unforgettable tracks such as "no te vayas" "ámame por última vez," and "solo sin ti." subsequently, in 1992, he embarked on a solo endeavor, releasing the seminal album "pasaporte musical." this magnum opus featured chart-toppers like "cambiaré mi vida," "perdido en el amor," and "siempre volverás.
