Lindsay Misiner is a talented independent artist, songwriter, and performer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Misiner possesses a distinctive musical style that fuses Soul, R&B, and Pop influences, with echoes of artists like Erykah Badu, Macy Gray, and Amy Winehouse. Her artistry is marked by a vulnerability, with her compositions characterized by candid, clever lyrics that harmonize flawlessly with her soul-stirring vocals. Lindsay's musical journey began at a young age, starting to perform and write music when she was just 10 years old. Over the years, she has amassed a wealth of experiences and opportunities that have contributed to her development as an artist to watch, particularly in the Maritime region of Canada. Notably, Lindsay Misiner has been a key figure in the Halifax music scene as leader of nine-piece Soul and R&B band called "Lindsay Misiner & The 7th Mystic" for eight years, serving as the band leader, lead vocalist, and manager. The band achieved local success with the release of their self-titled full-length album in April 2023 and toured various parts of Nova Scotia. In addition to her work with the band, Lindsay has vigorously pursued her solo career. Her debut solo single, "Girls Like Me," released in March 2022, marked a significant milestone in her journey as a solo artist. Following that, she released the single "Another Day" in March 2023, indicating her continued success in pursuing her dual career goals. In addition to her solo releases, Lindsay has also lent her vocals to tracks by other artists, including Tommy Green Jr's "Burning One For Love," released in May 2023, and HARMZ's "Better Watch," released in September 2023. These collaborations showcase her versatility and ability to work with a diverse range of musicians and genres, further solidifying her presence in the music industry. Beyond her music career, Lindsay is expanding her involvement in the music industry, particularly in the TV and film sector. She provided vocals for three actresses in the local film "The Madones," directed by Barrie Dunn and set to be released in the fall of 2023, as well as continues to work on film and tv projects in collaboration with local film composers. Lindsay's focus has now fully shifted towards her solo career, as she is working on her debut solo EP to be released in May of 2023, in collaboration with Alex Meade. This upcoming project is highly anticipated and expected to further establish her as a powerhouse artist in the urban music scene.
