Об исполнителе:
The Gypsy Choir of Famous Performers of Gypsy Songs, also known as "Хор под управлением знаменитой исполнительницы цыганских песен Насти Поляковой," was a Romani traditional choir established circa the early 1900s and active in the pre-revolutionary Russian Empire. The group was formed by singer Nastia Polyakova with her brothers, guitarists Yegor and Dmitry Polyakov, based at "Yar" (Яръ) restaurant in Moscow and touring across the country. After the 1917 revolutions, Nastia and Dmitry expatriated, subsequently settling in Paris, France, where they reunited a choir in a smaller formation as "Chœur Tzigane de Moscou." Meanwhile, Yegor Polyakov remained in the Soviet Union and also formed a new Gypsy choir; by the early 1920s, he led several touring groups with over 100 vocalists and musicians under his direction.
