1970s American progressive rock band from Minnesota. In 1969 The Underbeats, heretofore a popular garage band from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, changed their name to Gypsy, landed the house gig at the Whisky-A-Go Go on The Sunset Strip and played with everyone who came through the club in 1969 and 1970. Keyboardist James Walsh continued the band in various incarnations as The [a412304] and [a2384125].
