African-American vocal group that recorded for Columbia, Victor and Vocalion 1926-1930, alternatively in Atlanta, Georgia, and New York City. "It has been suggested that the Regal session of 9 August 1928 by Dixie Jubilee Singers sounds very much like the Birmingham Jubilee Singers." "The artist credit Birmingham Jubilee Singers was also used on Supertone for the Dunham Jubilee Singers and on one side of Supertone 9532 for Dye's Sacred Harp Singers, a white gospel group."
