Since the 1970s, Malmquist has participated in a large number of music albums, partly as a member of the groups Birfilarna, [a1750876], Neo Minore, Trio UGB and Avadå Band, partly on music albums with Maria Lindström, Christer Lundh (2) and Mikael Wiehe, among others. He has also composed film music.
