The experimental post-punk predecessor to [a99929]. Upon a realization that they probably would not make any sort of long term success in this form, they put out an advertisement in a local music magazine in search of a consistent lead singer. This lead the band to first met with and brought on Limahl, and together the five of them came up with the name for "Kajagoogoo" (chosen on the basis of it sounding like the English onomatopoeia for the noises an infant child makes, "gaga googoo").
