Jus Cuz

Jus Cuz is a 23 year old aspiring artist born in New London, Connecticut and raised in both Connecticut's Groton and New London neighborhoods. At the young age of five, Justin could not deny his interest in music. Growing up in a household of all boys, all of which shared a common passion for music, Justin found himself singing with his older brothers day in and day out. Struggling to break from the all too common reality that he wasn't the best singer out of the group, Justin was compelled to try his hand in rap and has been dedicated to this art since the age of 11. In perfecting his own lyricism, a move to Florida in 2005 opened the doors to Justin's participation in a group called P.S. RESPECT; in which he contributed by writing all the music for the the group's show. In his involvement with this group, he helped them achieve second place at the Rock Show Competition a few years back. Driven by this talent that Justin had crafted through group contributions and personal writings, a move back to New London, CT in 2006 catapulted Justin "Jus Cuz's" popularity locally because he, along with then rival Gramz (New London local aspiring rapper), staged one of the largest rap battles in New London County history. They battled bar for bar as their peers and local audience hung on to every punch-line until a tie was announced. Since then, Justin has grown confident in his rap skills as well as is singing skills as he incorporates the two in his music. Currently, Justin is living back in Florida working under the guidance of producer and engineer Tony Kash, who has helped Justin further develop his vocals. This coach-like business professional relationship has nurtured Justin's abilities and is preparing his persona to being on of the most anticipated discoveries of our time. Never forgetting where he started, Justin is currently working with former childhood rival Gramz on their single "Phone Tag" after having previously done their first big hit "What's Ya Name" together, ending any rivalry between. The sky is limit for Justin as he continues to pursue his dreams to being one of the greatest artists of his time and then some.
