Об исполнителе:
New Wave band formed in 1985, by George Koukios (vocals, guitar, lyrics, production), Michalis Vernardakis (guitar), Nikos Sidirokastritis (drums) and Vagelis Peppas (bass). The first album "Δέκα Χιλιάδες Μέρες Από 'δώ..." was released in April 1987, by Ano Kato Records. Bassist Peppas then left the band, giving his place to Yorgos Tasoulas. The following years the band played many live shows, and shared the stage with artists such as Pavlos Sidiropoulos, D. Poulikakos, Watercolors, No Man's Land, Ekon Akon, Anti Troppau Council, Villa 21, Last Drive etc. In Their second album "Mute Landscapes" was released in 1988. It was recorded very fast, unlike the first record whose sessions took months upon months. Tracks from the album featured as a soundtrack on news casts, to Greek national TV's channel ERT2. After participating in the Biennale exhibition in December 1988, it became clear that members had creatively drifted apart. Nevertheless after a few months of not playing together, they started writing tracks for a third record. At the night of December 4, 1989 though (a day before recordings where to start), Koukios and Vernardakis got involved in a car accident. Koukios was injured in the face, but Vernardakis was seriously injured in the leg. That worsened his already poor health (he suffered from Thalassemia), and the recordings never happened, putting an aned ot the band. In September 1992, Vernardakis died from heart failure.
