Michael Hurll

A former BBC TV executive who was active as a director from 1963 and as a producer from 1965, retiring in 2003. Though the programmes that he worked on were a mixed bag, he largely worked with comedy, and musical content. Amongst the extensive list of programmes in which he was involved are Top Of The Pops (1980-1988), The Royal Variety Show (1972), and The Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 and 1982. He was also the director of 'David Gilmour Live 1984', as well as the BBC's coverage of the Montreux Rock Festival in 1988. Born: 7th October 1936, in Twickenham, Middlesex, England.
