Carl Craig (2)

b. 1928, Gilmore, TX; d. 31 Oct 2012, Glen Oak, CA. Theater major at TSU, Army veteran, formed a touring duo act out of DFW called 'The Pair'. Craig's vocal recordings available are limited to the mostly live cuts on Liberty who later renamed them The Pair Extraordinaire. Craig refocused on production and theater, after disappointing sales on their only studio session album. Post-recording career was peppered with guest TV spots and long friendships with executive creators, such as Bill Cosby. Lasting legacy is a prolific, ongoing Dallas scholarship established in memory of his music teacher.
